Woman in Critical Condition after Car Accident on 6th Avenue [Tucson, AZ]
Two Injured in Solo-Car Accident on 6th Avenue near 10 Freeway in Tucson
TUCSON, AZ (September 19, 2020) – Medics said that a woman suffered critical injuries in a car accident on 6th Avenue on Saturday.
According to the Tucson Police Department, the collision happened near 10 Freeway.
Based on a report, a woman was driving a vehicle at a high rate of speed when she lost control while attempting to exit 6th Avenue off the freeway. Subsequently, the vehicle struck a pole.
As a result, emergency crews said the woman had life-threatening injuries. They transported her to the hospital in critical condition. The second occupant, an adult man, suffered unknown injuries. An update showed that both victims are now stable.
Officials said speed appeared to be a contributing factor in the crash, along with signs of impairment from the driver. However, the Tucson Police Department is still investigating the crash.
