Woman in Critical Condition After Crash on Windmill Lane at Gilespie Street in Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS, NV (September 13, 2020) – At least three people suffered injuries in a two-vehicle crash on Windmill Lane on Sunday afternoon.
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the accident happened near Gilespie Street at approximately 2:57 PM.
Based on a report, a 2015 Dodge Ram pickup truck towing a utility trailer with an off-road vehicle was eastbound on Windmill Lane. At that time, the victims were in a 2013 Nissan Altima that entered the road from a stop sign at Gilespie Street. Consequently, the front of the Ram hit the passenger side of the Altima, pushing it off of the road and to the corner of the intersection.
As a result, a 56-year-old woman in the car suffered critical injuries. In addition, the 62-year-old driver had moderate injuries and a 61-year-old passenger had serious injuries. Crews transported the victims to University Medical Center for treatment. The two people in the pickup were not hurt in the incident.
The driver of the truck did not show signs of impairment. However, an investigation is on-going.
