Pedestrian Dies in Accident on 8 Freeway [San Diego, CA]
Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Vehicle in San Diego Accident on 8 Freeway near 15 Freeway
SAN DIEGO, CA (September 7, 2020) – Police confirmed that a pedestrian died in an accident on 8 Freeway on Monday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened near 15 Freeway at approximately 10:16 PM.
Based on a report, a red Toyota RAV4 was seen on the right-hand shoulder and a person was in the westbound of the freeway. At the same time, a blue Honda Accord came and struck the victim. Immediately after, the vehicle pulled over to the shoulder.
Emergency crews said the pedestrian died at the scene. However, other information, including the victim’s identity is not yet available.
Fire officials closed all lanes except the right two lanes of the freeway. This time, an investigation into the collision is still ongoing. However, police ask people with information pertinent to the investigation to contact the San Diego Police.
