Man Killed in Pedestrian Accident While Running on East Carey Avenue [Las Vegas, NV]

Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Vehicle on East Carey Avenue near Nellis Boulevard in Las Vegas

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (September 8, 2020) – Police confirmed that a man was running when he got involved in a fatal pedestrian accident on East Carey Avenue on early Tuesday morning.
 
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the accident happened near Nellis Boulevard at approximately 1:00 AM.
 
Based on a report, the victim was running outside the crosswalk and in the roadway at the time of the crash. Due to an unknown reason, a 2020 GMC Sierra driving eastbound by a 23-year-old man from Las Vegas came and struck him.
 
Subsequently, medics took the victim to University Medical Center, where he died on his injuries. The Clark County Coroner’s Office did not yet release the victim’s identity.
 
At this time, officers don’t have additional information. However, the investigation into the case is on-going.
