One Fatally Struck by Car in Bakersfield Pedestrian Accident on Calloway Drive

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (September 4, 2020) — A man died in a pedestrian accident on Calloway Drive near Rosedale Highway Wednesday evening.
 
According to Sgt. Mike Gerrity, the incident occurred at approximately 9:40 p.m.
 
Reports say that a driver heading southbound on Calloway Drive near Rosedale Highway struck the pedestrian who was walking outside of a marked crosswalk.
 
Per reports, the driver stayed at the scene and waited for authorities to arrive.
 
According to the investigation, police ruled out alcohol, drugs and speed as possible factors of accidents; however, if anyone can help detectives determine the events that took place prior to the crash, please call the Bakersfield Police Department.
