Deadly Hit-and-Run Sacramento Pedestrian Accident on El Camino Avenue
SACRAMENTO, CA (September 1, 2020) — A 50-year-old man died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident Sunday night on El Camino Avenue near Howe Avenue.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash befell along eastbound El Camino Avenue just west of Howe Avenue. Investigators believe that the 50-year-old man from Hemet was walking southward when a pickup truck drove through and struck him.
Shortly after, firefighters pronounced him dead upon arrival.
As for his identity, the Sacramento County coroner’s office has yet to release his name.
Because details remain unclear, investigators hope for witnesses’ help during this investigation.
So far, they say a Dodge, possibly a half-ton RAM 1500 that is silver in color and between a 2013 and 2018 model, struck the victim.
If anyone has information regarding the whereabouts of the vehicle or its driver, please call the North Sacramento Area California Highway Patrol.
In light of this terrible news, our law firm would like to extend its condolences to the family and friends of the victim.
