Hit-and-Run Driver Involved in Crash on West Arroyo Street and South Virginia Street in Reno
RENO, NV (August 25, 2020) – A man sustained a head injury in a hit-and-run accident on Arroyo Street on Tuesday morning.
According to the Reno Police Department, the accident happened near South Virginia Street at about 5:10 AM.
Based on a report, the man was riding an electric scooter at the time of the crash. Due to an unknown reason, a truck came and struck him. Subsequently, the truck driver fled the scene.
Reno Fire, REMSA, and Reno Police officers responded to the scene and found the victim down in the street. Medics transported him to Renown Medical Center with a substantial but non-life-threatening head injury.
This time, Reno Police are asking for the public’s help in locating the suspect vehicle involved in this crash. They say the vehicle is described as a dark-colored, possibly green, older body style (1992-1996) Ford, single cab, long bed, F-Series pickup truck with a white utility box in the bed.
Do not leave the scene after an accident. However, wait for the authorities to arrive. In addition, always stay sober, manage your speed, and avoid reckless driving to avoid getting into an accident.
