Bicyclist Hit by Car on Ridgeview Drive and Alpine Creek Road in Reno
RENO, NV (August 31, 2020) – Police confirmed that a bicyclist suffered life-threatening injuries in an accident on Ridgeview Drive on Monday afternoon.
According to the Reno Police Department, the accident happened near Alpine Creek Road.
Based on a report, the bicyclist was going eastbound on Ridgeview prior to the crash. At the same time, a car was going westbound and made a left turn. Subsequently, the victim hit the side of the car.
Officials said officers found a bicyclist down in the roadway when they arrived. They took the victim to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. In addition, the car driver stayed at the scene and was not hurt in the incident.
The crash is still under investigation. In addition, police ask anyone with information on the crash to call the Reno Police Department.
