Eduardo Gutierrez Dies in Motorcycle Accident on Highway 60 [Riverside, CA]
DUI Driver Involved in Fatal Riverside Motorcycle Accident
RIVERSIDE, CA (August 30, 2020) – Police identified Eduardo Gutierrez as the victim who died in a motorcycle accident on westbound Highway 60 early Sunday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened just west of the Country Village Road overpass around 3:42 AM.
Based on a report, a 31-year-old woman from Riverside was driving a Nissan Sentra at a high rate of speed prior to the crash. Subsequently, the car clipped the rear-end of Gutierrez’s Suzuki GSXR motorcycle. Consequently, the impact caused him to lose control of the bike and ejected him onto the roadway.
As a result, the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner’s Bureau said Eduardo Gutierrez died at the scene.
After an assessment, police said alcohol was a crash factor in the crash. Howeever, the police did not make any arrest. At this point, an investigation into the case is still on-going.
