Driver Strikes, Kills Man in Fresno Pedestrian Accident at North Maple Avenue
FRESNO, CA (August 21, 2020) — A man died in a pedestrian accident at North Maple Avenue and East Dakota Avenue Wednesday night.
According to Fresno police officers, the incident unfolded around 9:30 p.m.
Reports say that a driver heading southbound on Maple Avenue had failed to see the pedestrian sitting on the road. Because she had no time or road clearance to avoid a crash, her vehicle struck him.
Shortly after, officers arrived and found the victim, described as a man in his 50s, unresponsive. Unfortunately, he died shortly thereafter.
The female driver of the vehicle cooperated with police investigations. Per police officers, she showed no signs of impairment.
