Los Angeles Bus Crash Hurts 14, Teen Arrested for DUI

 
LOS ANGELES, CA (August 20, 2020) — About 14 people were injured Wednesday when a Metro bus collided with a DUI driver at Whittier Boulevard and Downey Road.
 
According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, officials received a call about an incident around 10:45 a.m.
 
Aerial footage showed paramedics wheeling patients into ambulances. Per reports, 14 people sought hospital care, three of whom in critical condition and 11 with minor injuries
 
In the wake of the accident, a Volkswagen Beetle was crushed by the impact, and a 17-year-old, who investigators believe had been under the influence, was arrested during the investigation.
