KENNEWICK, WA (August 18, 2020) — Three men were injured in a pedestrian accident Friday on West Bruneau Place near North Montana Street.
According to Lieutenant Aaron Clem, the pedestrian crash befell around 3:30 a.m. The driver, described as a male in his mid-50s, had been sleeping in his pickup truck prior to the crash. When he awoke, he began to lurch the car forward before it struck three men sleeping in front of his vehicle.
Two men in their 40s, as well as one in his 20s, were hit by the truck.
Soon after, paramedics responded and transported one of the pedestrians to a hospital. Meanwhile, the driver stayed at the scene for police questioning before officers released him.
No other information about this crash was available.
A car accident can happen in the least likely areas and times. It is important to be highly aware when behind the wheel. Pedestrians and drivers should be leery of their surroundings and stay out of harm’s way. Expect the worse — this will prepare you.
