One Killed, One Injured in Crash on Bouquet Canyon Road [Santa Clarita, CA]
Deadly Santa Clarita Car Crash on Bouquet Canyon Road
SANTA CLARITA, CA (August 15, 2020) – Police confirmed that one person died in a crash on Bouquet Canyon Road on Saturday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Texas Canyon Road at approximately 4:00 PM.
Based on a report, the first responders found only one vehicle at the scene. An initial assessment showed that the black Chevrolet Blazer carrying two people struck a tree. However, officials did not yet release the details that led to the accident.
As a result, the car’s passenger died at the scene. They did not release the victim’s identity pending kin notification. In addition, firefighters had to use hydraulic tools to free the driver from the wreckage. An ambulance sent the victim to a trauma center in an unknown condition.
It was not yet known if speed or impairment were factors in the accident. However, an investigation is ongoing.
