Motorcycle Involved in Fatal Head-On Crash on San Pasqual Valley Road in Escondido
ESCONDIDO, CA (August 16, 2020) – Police confirmed that a 65-year-old man died in a motorcycle crash in the 18000 block of San Pasqual Valley Road on Sunday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at approximately 1:41 PM.
Based on a report, the victim was riding a 2020 Harley-Davidson motorcycle east on San Pasqual Valley Road when he crossed over the double yellow line. Subsequently, he hit a 1997 Ford 250 driven by an 88-year-old man.
As a result, the rider died at the scene. The San Diego Police Department did not release his identity pending kin notification. In addition, the driver of the Ford and his passenger were taken to the hospital.
At this time, the cause of the crash remains under investigation. However, authorities are asking anyone who may have seen the incident to call them at 805-494-8245.
