Richard Mager Killed in Two-Car Crash on Avra Valley Road [Marana, AZ]

Two Vehicles Involved in Deadly Crash on Avra Valley Road near Sanders Road in Marana

 
MARANA, AZ (August 15, 2020) – Police identified 59-year-old Richard Mager as the victim who got killed in a crash on Avra Valley Road on Monday morning.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened near Sanders Road at approximately 6:30 AM.
 
Based on a report, two cars crashed in the lanes. Police did not yet release the details that led to the accident. However, officers believed that speed was not the cause of the wreck.
 
As a result, emergency crews said Mager died at the scene. In addition, they transported the other driver to the hospital with serious injuries.
 
Fire officials shut down Avra Valley Road in both directions to give way to rescue and clearing operations.
 
As of today, police do not have additional information. However, they continue to investigate the case.
