One Dies in Head-On Crash on Beloat Road [Buckeye, AZ]
Two Cars Involved in Fatal Crash on Beloat Road and Jackrabbit Trail in Buckeye
BUCKEYE, AZ (August 12, 2020) – Police confirmed that one person died in a head-on crash on Beloat Road on early Wednesday morning.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened near Jackrabbit Trail at approximately 4:00 AM.
Based on a report, two cars crashed head-on in the lanes. However, officials did not yet know if the accident was caused by wrong-way driving.
As a result, emergency crews said one driver died at the scene. They did not release the identity of the victim pending notification of next of kin. In addition, they rushed a woman to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the scene. At this time, officers don’t know if speed or impairment are factors in the crash. However, they continue to investigate the case.
