Pedestrian Dies in Hit-and-Run on 15 Freeway [Las Vegas, NV]

Hit-and-Run Driver Wanted after Fatal Accident on 15 Freeway in Las Vegas

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (August 11, 2020) – Police confirmed that a pedestrian died in a hit-and-run on 15 Freeway on Tuesday afternoon.
 
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the collision happened between 7:35 PM and 11:40 PM.
 
Based on a report, an unidentified vehicle in the far-right travel lane hit a pedestrian near mile marker 61. Afterward, the driver of the vehicle fled the area. As per reports, it was a tractor-trailer or large truck with minor front end damage.
 
Emergency responders pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. Authorities did not yet release the victim’s identity pending notification of next of kin.
 
As of today, NHP does not have additional information. However, officials are asking witnesses to call NHP at (702) 486-4100 or Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555.
