One Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Geary Boulevard [San Francisco, CA]
Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Vehicle on Geary Boulevard at Gough Street in San Francisco
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (August 11, 2020) – Police confirmed that one person got killed in a pedestrian accident on Geary Boulevard on Tuesday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Gough Street in the Western Addition neighborhood around 07:00 AM.
Based on a report, a vehicle struck the victim in the lanes. However, officials did not yet know if the collision occurred in a designated crosswalk.
As a result, officers pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. The San Francisco police did not yet release the identity of the victim pending notification of next of kin.
The driver of the involved vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
At this point, no other information about the collision is immediately available from the police. However, they continue to investigate the case.
