Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Hit-and-Run Car in El Cajon
EL CAJON, CA (August 11, 2020)—A woman died Saturday evening following a hit-and-run pedestrian accident at Dehesa and Sycuan roads.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened around 9:30 p.m. near Sycuan Casino.
Under unknown circumstances, a driver of an unknown make and model struck the woman before leaving the scene.
Shortly after officials arrived, the woman succumbed to her injuries. At this time, her identity has been withheld pending notification of next-of-kin.
A description of the hit-and-run vehicle and driver requires further investigation and witnesses’ help. So, if anyone can help the CHP determine the driver’s whereabouts, please call the department.
