Four Injured in T-Bone Crash on Highway 4 [Discovery Bay, CA]
Two Vehicles Involved in T-Bone Crash on Highway 4 near Discovery Bay Boulevard in Discovery Bay
DISCOVERY BAY, CA (August 9, 2020) – At least four people suffered injuries in a T-bone crash on Highway 4 on Sunday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Discovery Bay Boulevard at approximately 1:00 PM.
Based on a report, a blue Toyota pickup truck was running at about 65 mph when it struck a silver Ford Mustang. Officials did not yet know the details that led to the incident.
East Contra Costa Fire Protection District firefighters responded to the scene. As a result, emergency crews sent two people to the hospital by a medical helicopter. In addition, they sent another two victims to the hospital by a ground ambulance.
Police are currently investigating the crash. At this time, they don’t have additional information.
Follow traffic lights and road signs to avoid getting into a T-bone crash. However, avoid distracted driving and speeding to prevent getting into a car crash.
