Driver Dies in Two-Car Crash on North McDowell Street Near Scott Street [Petaluma, CA]

Fatal Two-Car Accident in Petaluma

 
PETALUMA, CA (August 11, 2020)—A driver died in a two-vehicle accident Friday afternoon on North McDowell Boulevard near Scott Street.
 
According to Petaluma Police Officers, the incident happened around 4:09 p.m. Investigators believe that a driver in a gray Nissan sedan traveling northbound on North McDowell Boulevard tried making a left turn into a business plaza.
 
However, in an attempt to do so, the Nissan collided with a blue Chevrolet Silverado going in the opposite direction.
 
Following the accident, paramedics shuttled the Chevy driver to Petaluma Valley Hospital with minor injuries and the Nissan driver to Santa Rosa Memorial hospital with severe injuries. Unfortunately, the Nissan driver succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter.
