16-Year-Old Boy Killed in Car Crash on Vanowen Street [Lake Balboa, CA]

Two Vehicles Involved in Deadly Crash on Vanowen Street near Odesa Avenue in Lake Balboa

 
LAKE BALBOA, CA (August 6, 2020) – Police had not yet identified the 16-year-old boy who got killed in a car crash in the 16000 block of Vanowen Street on Thursday evening.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Odesa Avenue at approximately 9:00 PM.
 
Based on a report, the teenager was driving a car making a U-turn from Odesa when the accident happened. At that time, another vehicle going eastbound came and struck his car.
 
Los Angeles police officers said the teen died at the scene. They did not yet release his name pending kin notification.
 
The other driver suffered minor injuries and is cooperating with the police.
