Woman Airlifted after Scooter Crash on Pine Hill Road [South Lake Tahoe, CA]
Hit-and-Run Driver Involved in Scooter Crash on Pine Hill Road near Keller Road in South Lake Tahoe
SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, CA (August 4, 2020) – Emergency crews airlifted a woman to the hospital after a scooter crash in the 3300 block of Pine Hill Road on early Tuesday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Keller Road at approximately 5:45 PM.
Based on a report, the 31-year-old woman from Alexandria was riding a Lime Scooter westbound on Pine Hill prior to the crash. At that time, an eastbound black SUV struck her head-on. The vehicle slowed down before it left the scene.
South Lake Tahoe Fire Rescue and the Caltahoe JPA ambulance crew treated the victim at the scene before transferring her onto a CalStar helicopter to fly her to Renown Medical Center. She is currently in stable condition.
Police later identified and located the suspect vehicle. The owner is now cooperating with the investigation. However, police are still asking anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact them at 530-542-6100.
