Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run on Jensen Avenue [Fresno, CA]
Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Hit-and-Run Vehicle on Jensen Avenue near Armstrong Avenue in Fresno
FRESNO, CA (August 6, 2020) – Police confirmed that a pedestrian got killed in a hit-and-run accident on Jensen Avenue on Thursday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened just east Armstrong Avenue at approximately 11:00 AM.
Based on a report, the male victim was walking westbound on Jensen before the accident occurred. Initially, an unidentified vehicle struck the victim and left the scene. Consequently, the man fell down the roadway and two other vehicles hit him. The drivers of the vehicles stopped at the scene.
Emergency crews pronounced the man dead on the scene. They did not release his name pending kin notification.
Finally, the police said they did not suspect the second and third drivers to be under the influence of any type of alcohol or drugs. Now, they are looking for the driver that initially hit the victim. However, they do not have any information on the suspect yet. At this time, they ask anyone with any information to call the California Highway Patrol.
