Jacob Fuentes Dies in Hit-and-Run Motorcycle Accident at North Del Mar and East Shields Avenues

 
FRESNO, CA (August 3, 2020) — A 28-year-old man lost his life Thursday night following a hit-and-run motorcycle collision at North Del Mar and East Shields avenues.
 
According to Sgt. Jeff La Blue, the deadly event befell around 11:30 p.m.
 
Investigators learned that Jacob Fuentes was heading eastbound in his motorcycle along East Shields Avenue with the right-of-way; however, his motorcycle collided with a northbound BMW that pulled into his path at Del Mar Avenue.
 
Both vehicles collided at the intersection, causing grave injuries to Fuentes.
 
Paramedics arrived shortly after and transported him to Community Regional Medical Center, where he died.
 
As for the other driver, he or she left the scene, only abandoning the vehicle at Del Mar and East Andrews avenues.
