21-Year-Old Nifo Ufau Arrested After Fatal Hit-and-Run on Bayshore Boulevard [San Francisco, CA]
Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run on Bayshore Boulevard at Jerrold Street in San Francisco
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (July 19, 2020) – Police arrested 21-year-old Nifo Ufau after a fatal hit-and-run on Bayshore Boulevard on Sunday.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Jerrold Street.
Based on a report, Ufau left the scene after striking a 53-year-old man. Police later found the vehicle on the 100 block of Barneveld Avenue. Afterward, while investigators were at the scene, Ufau turned himself in at Bayview Station.
As a result, the pedestrian died at the scene due to severe injuries. The Medical Examiner’s Office did not release his name pending kin notification.
Consequently, police arrested Ufau on suspicion of felony hit and run, vehicular manslaughter, and speeding. However, an investigation into the case continues.
