Pickup Truck Rear-Ends Quad Bike in Bakersfield Crash on Fairfax Road
BAKERSFIELD, CA (July 6, 2020) – Police confirmed that a passenger died in a quad bike accident on Fairfax Road on Monday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Alfred Harrell Highway.
Based on a report, the victim was a passenger in a quad bike that had no lights or reflectors while heading north on Fairfax. In addition, a pickup truck that was heading on the same direction rear-ended it.
Crews proclaimed the quad’s passenger dead at the scene. They did not release the name of the victim pending kin notification. The driver sustained minor injuries. In addition, the police took the victim to a local hospital to be examined for signs of drug or alcohol impairment.
Police said the driver of the pickup was not impaired. However, they continue to investigate the case.
