Kevin Robinson Arrested in Las Vegas Pedestrian Accident
LAS VEGAS, NV (July 14, 2020) — A man died following Saturday’s DUI pedestrian crash on South Decatur Boulevard near West Flamingo Road.
Police have identified the driver as 53-year-old Kevin Robinson, who they say had been under the influence at the time of the accident.
According to investigators, Robinson was at the wheel of a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500, traveling southbound around 10:00 p.m. As the Dodge approached West Flamingo Road, the pickup struck the 61-year-old pedestrian, who officers say tried crossing South Decatur Boulevard in a motorized wheelchair.
The impact caused the unidentified pedestrian to be ejected onto the street.
Shortly thereafter, paramedics arrived and transported the victim to UMC trauma in critical condition; however, despite life-saving attempts, the man succumbed to his injuries.
Meanwhile, officers arrested Robinson on DUI charges after noticing his signs of impairment.
No other information surrounding this fatal crash was available. However, police are continuing the investigation.
