3-Year-Old Bryceon Springfield Killed in Car Accident on Highway 58 [Boron, CA]
Toddler Killed, 4 Injured in Car and Truck Accident on Highway 58 in Boron
BORON, CA (July 7, 2020) – Police identified 3-year-old Bryceon Springfield as the victim who died in a car accident on Highway 58 on Tuesday.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened just west of Boron Avenue.
Based on a report, a 2016 Freightliner semi-truck driven by 39-year-old Brian Allen traveling westbound when it stopped for traffic. For an unknown reason, a 1992 Toyota Previa driven by Carolyn Ellis collided with the truck.
As a result, the Kern County Coroner’s office pronounced the toddler, Bryceon Anthony Springfield, dead at the scene. In addition, a 7-year-old juvenile and 2-year-old suffered major injuries. Ellis and another passenger, Clarissa Kemp, suffered minor injuries. Crews transported the victims to the hospital for treatment.
As of today, CHP officers don’t have additional details regarding the case. However, they ask anyone who witnessed the collision to contact CHP Officer Perkins at 661-823-5500.
