Pedestrian Victor Carrillo Killed in Hit-and-Run Accident on 105th Street [Lennox, CA]
Victor Carrillo Fatally Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver on West 105th Street Near Hawthorn Boulevard
LENNOX, CA (July 7, 2020) — A 26-year-old man died as a result of Saturday’s hit-and-run pedestrian accident on West 105th Street near Hawthorn Boulevard.
According to reports, the incident happened on the Fourth of July around 9:30 p.m.
California Highway Patrol identified Victor Torres Carrillo, of Inglewood, as the fatal victim in the crash.
An investigation into the accident showed that Carrillo tried walking out of the road after lighting a firework. However, he was hit by a speeding black sedan.
Witnesses described the car as either a Ford Mustang or a Chevrolet Camaro, which had been going westbound before the impact.
Unfortunately, the driver of the car fled the scene, leaving Carrillo with grave injuries.
Shortly thereafter, paramedics arrived but only to pronounce him deceased at the scene at 9:45 p.m.
