Single Vehicle Involved in Deadly Crash That Kills Two Teens in Sparks

 
SPARKS, NV (July 4, 2020) – Police identified Giovvani Oliva and Justyn Florez as the victims who got killed in a crash on Sparks Boulevard on Saturday.
 
According to the Sparks Police Department, the collision happened at Baring Boulevard at approximately 3:50 AM.
 
The SPD responded and found a single vehicle in the area. Based on a statement of a witness, the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed before the crash. In addition, it left the roadway and struck a tree.
 
The Sparks Fire Department and REMSA also responded to the scene. As a result, officials pronounced 16-year-old driver Giovvani Oliva of Reno and 17-year-old passenger Justyn Lopez-Florez of Fernley deceased at the scene.
 
It is unknown if drugs or alcohol were a factor. However, SPD continues to investigate the case.
