Fatal Sutter County DUI Accident on Highway 99

 
SUTTER COUNTY, CA (July 6, 2020) — A wrong-way DUI accident on Highway 99 near Sankey Road left two people dead Sunday morning.
 
According to officers, a driver in a white BMW was headed in the wrong direction on the northbound freeway. Around 1:10 a.m. the BMW collided head-on with a silver Toyota car, traveling northbound.
 
California Highway Patrol officers say the collision killed both drivers. However, the identity of both of the drivers is unknown at this time. In addition, alcohol might have contributed to the accident.
