Man Killed in Hit-and-Run on Chollas Parkway [San Diego, CA]
Hit-and-Run Driver Involved in Fatal Crash in Chollas Creek in San Diego
SAN DIEGO, CA (July 3, 2020) – Police confirmed that a man died in a hit-and-run in the 5300 block of Chollas Parkway on early Friday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened in Chollas Creek at approximately 1:00 AM.
Based on a report from San Diego police, an unidentified vehicle struck the man in his 40s. In addition, the vehicle fled the scene after the accident. The report described the vehicle as a “racer type” car with a loud muffler speeding down the street.
As a result, emergency crews pronounced the pedestrian dead at the site of the collision. They did not release his identity pending notification of next of kin.
Police do not have the exact details about the vehicle that struck the victim. However, they continue to investigate the case.
