Driver Arrested after Crash at Bus Stop in San Francisco
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (June 29, 2020) – Emergency crews sent at least four people to the hospital after a bus stop accident on Mission Street on Monday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Onondaga Avenue just before 8:00 PM.
A report showed that an unidentified vehicle crashed into a bus stop. In addition, the 37-year-old man who was driving the vehicle attempted to leave the scene after the incident.
As a result, crews said that a 4-year-old boy and three women ages 20, 25, and 39 suffered injuries in the collision. Paramedics took them to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said that bystanders stopped the suspect from leaving the scene. Officers arrived to take him into custody. At this point, the case remains under investigation.
Follow traffic regulations and always give way to people in bus stops and crosswalks to avoid a pedestrian accident. However, if you are a pedestrian, choose a crosswalk to cross streets. Above all, follow regulations and wait for signals before proceeding.
