Jesus Gonzalez Killed, Rosalio Galindo Jr. Arrested in Hit-and-Run Accident [Fresno, CA]
Jesus Gonzalez Killed, Rosalio Galindo Jr. Detained in Fresno Hit-and-Run Crash
FRESNO, CA (June 30, 2020)—A hit-and-run accident Saturday on North Friant Road near Old Friant Road left a male driver dead and his passengers injured.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash took place around 4:05 p.m.
Authorities learned that a northbound driver, for unknown reasons, drifted into the southbound lanes after having lost control. The vehicle subsequently overturned several times, ejecting 25-year-old Jesus Gonzalez, of Fresno, from the cabin.
Gonzalez died as a result of his injuries. Meanwhile, two juveniles and one adult passenger riding in his car suffered unknown injuries. As a result, officials transported the victims to Community Regional Medical Center.
During the investigation at the scene, another driver and his passenger reported on site, informing authorities that he had been involved in the accident.
The unlicensed adult driver, who reports identified as Rosalio Galindo Jr., cooperated with police investigations.
Officers arrested the North Fork man and booked him into the Fresno County Jail on charges that include felony hit-and-run. Police believe alcohol also played a role but an investigation into this account remains.
At this time, details surrounding how the accident precisely unfolded between the two drivers have not been determined.
Our heartfelt sympathies are with the friends and family of Jesus Gonzalez.
