Jessica Rivera Hit, Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard Near South Harrison Street

 
STOCKTON, CA (June 30, 2020) – A woman lost her life in a hit-and-run pedestrian crash early Monday on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard near South Harrison Street.
 
According to the Stockton Police, an unknown make and model of a vehicle struck Jessica Rivera around 1:15 a.m. in the westbound lanes of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. Unfortunately, the vehicle that struck her fled the scene of the accident.
 
Rivera, 40, who family members say had been running errands at the time, tried crossing the four-lane street in the middle of the block outside of a marked crosswalk; that is when the oncoming vehicle struck her.
 
Police have not provided information surrounding the vehicle but encourage those with insight to help them.
