Man Dies in Rollover Crash on South Durango Drive [Las Vegas, NV]
Vehicle Overturns in Deadly Crash near West Patrick Lane in Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS, NV (June 24, 2020) – Police confirmed that a man died in a rollover crash on South Durango Drive on early Wednesday morning.
According to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police, the collision happened near West Patrick Lane at approximately 12:30 AM.
Based on reports, the 35-year-old man was driving a 2005 Honda S2000 convertible when it entered the same lane of a 2012 Volkswagen Jetta on Durango. In addition, both vehicles crossed the intersection at Patrick Lane before exiting the roadway on the right. As a result, the vehicles hit a brick wall while rotating. The Jetta overturned while hitting the top of the Honda and its driver.
Emergency crews pronounced the Honda driver dead at the scene. They did not release his identity while his next of kin is not yet notified.
The driver and passenger of the Jetta stayed at the scene and didn’t show signs of impairment. However, police continue to conduct an investigation.
