Pyon Huesok Strikes Pedestrian Near Highway 246 and Casino Drive
SANTA YNEZ, CA (June 12, 2020)—A casino resort employee suffered minor injuries Wednesday following a DUI hit-and-run pedestrian accident near Highway 246 and Casino Drive.
Around 9:30 a.m., the California Highway Patrol and Santa Barbara County Fire Department responded to the intersection to find a Chumash Casino Resort employee with injuries.
Investigators determined that the unidentified employee was directing traffic when a 2004 Honda Odyssey struck him. The driver left the scene of the crash; however, police became successful in locating the driver and vehicle near Armour Ranch Road.
According to CHP Officer Keith Rogers, Pyon Huesok exhibited signs of impairment during the investigation, leading officers to arrest the 53-year-old Paramount man for felony hit-and-run and DUI.
