Two Die in Cajon Pass Accident
CAJON PASS, CA (June 15, 2020)—Two people lost their lives following Saturday’s head-on accident on Highway 138 near Fern Cove Drive.
According to reports, the early morning crash befell around 7 a.m. just west of the 15 Freeway.
California Highway Patrol officers received reports of two cars colliding, which involved a green four-door sedan and a small white delivery truck.
The CHP incident log indicated that Good Samaritans tried freeing someone out of one of the vehicles. Soon after, the San Bernardino County firefighters arrived on the scene to find the truck fully engulfed in flames. After putting out the fire, they found a deceased victim, as well as another in the other car.
The details confirming whether the deceased victims were the drivers and the ultimate cause of the crash demand more investigation. If anyone would like to help authorities piece together the events that took place, please call local authorities.
