Two Killed in Multi-Vehicle Accident on Highway 99 [Durham, CA]
Semi-Truck Involved in Deadly Multi-Car Crash near Neal Road
DURHAM, CA (June 10, 2020) – Police confirmed that two people were killed in a multi-vehicle accident on Highway 99on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Neal Road at approximately 12:47 PM.
Police reports showed a semi-truck heading north did not slow down as it approached the stopped traffic at the intersection. As a result, it slammed into the back of a Honda Accord. Due to impact, the Accord then crashed into another car, ultimately impacting a total of six vehicles.
Crews pronounced a man and a woman in the Accord dead at the scene. Both victims are from Los Molinos. No one in those additional cars sustained injuries.
Police did not release additional information. However, they continue to investigate the multi-vehicle accident.
