2 Dead, 1 Injured in Head-On Collision on Mussey Grade Road [Ramona, CA]

2-Car Crash Leaves 2 Dead in Ramona

 
RAMONA, CA (June 11, 2020) — A head-on collision on Mussey Grade Road near Mahogany Ranch Road turned fatal, killing one driver and a passenger Wednesday.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash befell around 12:15 p.m. A 56-year-old Fallbrook woman driving a northbound 2016 Ford Focus smashed into a southbound 2017 Subaru Impreza at a high rate of speed.
 
However, authorities are perplexed as to what caused the Ford driver to travel into oncoming traffic in the first place.
 
Paramedics responded shortly after and then took the Subaru driver, who suffered major injuries, to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido.
 
Tragically, the Ford driver, as well as a male Subaru passenger, died in the crash; their names have not been released to the public.
 
Since details remain unclear, authorities encourage witnesses to come forward if they have additional insight into how the crash unfolded.
