10 Vehicles Involved in Hit-and-Run Accidents near Montecito
CARPINTERIA, CA (June 7, 2020) – Emergency crews reported multiple injuries and damages following a hit-and-run on Highway 101 on late Sunday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collisions started around 8:00 AM and continued to Montecito.
The police report said a white pickup truck deliberately rammed as many as 10 vehicles. As a result, several of the vehicles were left undrivable by the collisions. The truck driver continued to drive until the right-hand shoulder near Olive Mill Road.
Paramedics recorded some minor to moderate injuries. They sent at least one person to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
Crews also dispatched several tow trucks to clear the wreckage.
Witnesses and law enforcement tracked the pickup and the suspect. However, they did not release further details related to the case.
Authorities strictly remind motorists to not leave the scene after an accident. However, wait for the authorities to arrive. Always stay sober, manage your speed, and avoid reckless driving to avoid getting into an accident.
