COACHELLA, CA (May 28, 2020) — A driver struck and killed a bicyclist Tuesday night near Tyler Street and Avenue 54.
 
According to the Cal Fire-Riverside County Fire Department, the accident unfolded around 9:18 p.m. The unidentified bicyclist died at the scene shortly thereafter; no one else was injured.
 
Authorities at the scene questioned the driver involved and ruled out impairment as a possible factor of the accident.
