Robert Beltran Dead, Froebel Amador Detained for DUI Following 210 Freeway Collision Near Haven Avenue
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA (May 29, 2020) — A high-speed DUI collision on the 210 Freeway near Haven Avenue tragically turned fatal.
According to Jesus Garcia, spokesman for the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened around 4:00 a.m. between Haven Avenue and Milliken Avenue.
A Saturn sedan, driven by 62-year-old Robert Beltran of Rancho Cucamonga, was heading eastbound on the freeway at an unknown speed. Subsequently, 38-year-old Froebel Fernando Amador crashed into his Saturn at a high rate of speed. The impact sent both the Saturn and Amador’s Kia Optima to the right shoulder of the freeway.
Beltran, unfortunately, died at the scene after having suffered unspecified injuries.
Following a preliminary investigation, officers arrested Amador on suspicion of driving under the influence and gross vehicular manslaughter.
