Juan Hart Detained Following Deadly DUI Accident on Highway 76 Near Pala Del Norte

 
PALA, CA (June 2, 2020) — A man died following Saturday’s DUI rollover accident on Highway 76 near Pala Del Norte.
 
According to California Highway Patrol Officer Mark Latulippe, a 2006 Infiniti G35 was traveling westbound on Highway 76 around 11 p.m. Juan Hart, of Garden Grove, allowed the Infiniti to cross the double yellow line into oncoming traffic to pass another vehicle.
 
However, the car lost control and slid into the embankment that borders the north side of the road. The vehicle subsequently overturned and partially ejected a 23-year- old man from Wildomar.
 
Paramedics rushed the unidentified victim to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido where he died.
 
Hart, 53, sustained major injuries but is expected to survive. According to an investigation, police believe alcohol or drugs might have played a role in the accident.
