Raul Hernandez Injured in Fatal Modesto Crash
MODESTO, CA (June 1, 2020) — A 65-year-old woman died following Sunday’s two-vehicle accident at North Central Avenue and East Hatch Road.
According to Officer Freddie Ortiz, police arrived at the scene after receiving word of a crash around 6:47 a.m. After that, authorities found a 1994 black and silver Chevrolet S10 and a 2003 Black Chevrolet Silverado.
A female driver located inside the Chevrolet S10 was found deceased at the scene.
However, paramedics brought 53-year-old Raul Soto Hernandez to a hospital with unspecified injuries.
In the investigation, officers learned that the two pickup trucks crashed as the eastbound Chevy S10 and northbound Silverado both entered the intersection. In addition, Ortiz further noted that Hernandez tried making a left turn onto Hatch Road prior to the impact.
Officers ruled out drugs and alcohol as contributing sources to the accident. However, additional investigation regarding this crash is underway.
With deepest sympathies, we’d like to express our condolences to the friends and family of the victim.
