Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Injured in Accident on Avenue K [Lancaster, CA]
Juvenile Driver Involved in Lancaster Car Crash
LANCASTER, CA (May 22, 2020) – Police confirmed that a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputy suffered injuries in an accident on Avenue K on Friday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened near Challenger Way at approximately 5:10 PM.
A report from the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station showed that the deputy was traveling east on Avenue K when he initiated a northbound turn onto Challenger Way. At the same time, a juvenile female driver was traveling west on Avenue K in a midsize sedan. As a result, both vehicles collided near the center of the intersection.
Both the deputy and the female driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel treated the deputy for his injuries, while the female driver declined medical attention.
The Lancaster Sheriff’s Station did not release more details. However, they asked anyone who witnessed this collision to contact traffic investigators at 661-948-8466.
