28-Year-Old Camarillo Man Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Highway 118 [Somis, CA]
Four Vehicles Involved in Deadly Crash near La Cumbre Road
SOMIS, CA (May 26, 2020) – Police confirmed that a 28-year-old Camarillo man was killed in a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 118 on Tuesday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened just west of La Cumbre Road around 8:40 AM.
A report showed a 2004 Nissan sedan traveling east in the when, for unknown reasons, it traveled into the westbound lane. As a result, it collided with a westbound flatbed truck. The Nissan then continued eastbound in the westbound lane and collided with a semi-truck and a Hyundai sedan.
The Camarillo man, the driver of the Nissan sedan, was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was not yet released. Paramedics did not report other injuries.
Fire officials shut down that roadway for more than four hours.
Police did not make any arrests. However, they are still investigating the crash.
