One Killed in Two-Car Accident on 680 Freeway [San Ramon, CA]
Two Vehicles Involved in Fatal Accident near Bollinger Canyon Road
SAN RAMON, CA (May 23, 2020) – Police confirmed that one person died in a two-car accident on 680 Freeway southbound on Saturday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened about a quarter-mile north of the Bollinger Canyon Road off-ramp around 8:00 PM.
As a result, one vehicle ended up in the far-right traffic lane. Authorities found the other one on the right-hand shoulder.
One victim was trapped in one of the vehicles when the paramedics arrived. They pronounced the victim dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased was not yet available.
No other information about other victims was immediately available. However, police continue to investigate the incident.
