Jogger Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash on South Raitt Street [Santa Ana, CA]
Hit-and-Run Driver Involved in Fatal Pedestrian Accident near West St. Anne Place
SANTA ANA, CA (May 18, 2020) – Police confirmed that a jogger died in a hit-and-run crash on South Raitt Street on late Monday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened near West St. Anne Place around 11:00 PM.
A security video from a nearby home showed that the man in his 20s was wearing headphones and running shoes when he was struck by a white four-door sedan. The car came back but it drove off again.
As a result, emergency crews pronounced the man dead at the scene. They did not release his identity pending kin notification.
Police did not release further details regarding the accident. However, they continue to investigate the hit-and-run crash.
